§03 — Honest by design
We only count an invoice as recovered if our email reached the customer before they paid. Recoveries from Stripe's own retries are labeled as Stripe's. You'll never wonder if the number is real.

Stripe’s Smart Retries recover a meaningful share of failures, and we’ll never claim otherwise. Recoupe recovers what the retries leave behind: human-sounding email sequences linking to Stripe’s hosted invoice page, plus pre-dunning warnings before cards expire — something Stripe doesn’t send for you.
Is this safe?
You connect via Stripe Connect OAuth — no API keys to paste, revocable from your Stripe dashboard at any time. The audit is read-only in spirit: we read invoice history and send emails through our own infrastructure. We never move money and never touch card data (payments happen on Stripe-hosted pages).
Will my customers get spammed?
No. Maximum 4 emails per failed invoice over 14 days, sequences cancel instantly when the invoice is paid, every email has one-click unsubscribe, and everything sends under your brand name with your reply-to.
